Small apps for the things you’d rather not think about.

Sintios makes iPhone apps that each do one job, and do it so well you can forget about it. Your stuff stays on your phone. The price is on the label.

Coming to theApp StoreAll about Backed

Backed keeps every receipt, return window and warranty in one place, and reminds you before time runs out. When something breaks, it drafts the claim for you.

Point at the receipt. That’s the paperwork done.

Aim the camera at a paper receipt, or share an invoice PDF from Mail with Share → Backed. Backed reads the store, date, items, price and order number on the iPhone itself.

2Know

Three deadlines. One glance.

Every purchase has a return window, a maker’s warranty and, in much of the world, a legal guarantee. Backed tracks all three and shows which one still protects you.

Reminds3 days before a return closes. 30 and 7 days before a warranty ends.RulesBy country and purchase date: 2 years in most of Europe, 3 in Spain, Portugal and Sweden, up to 6 in the UK and Ireland. Every period is editable.
  • Days left Counted from the cover that lasts longest.
  • Reminders Scheduled on the phone. They work offline.
3Claim

Broken? You’re probably still covered.

The maker’s warranty ended, but the shop still owes you under the legal guarantee. Backed tells you who to contact and drafts the email, receipt attached.

  • Still covered Even after the maker’s warranty ends.

Lamplight

Live alone. Never go unnoticed.

Coming to theApp StoreAll about Lamplight

Just use your phone as usual and Lamplight counts you as OK. If you go quiet for longer than you chose, it asks how you are, and only then lets the people you picked know.

PriceFree with ads · Pro for extra modesYour dataOne small server. It stores a random ID and the time of your last sign of life.NeedsiPhone · iOS 17 or later

Lamplight is not an emergency service. It does not contact the police, ambulance or any emergency service, and alerts can be delayed or missed. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK).

1Live

Using your phone is the check-in.

There’s no daily button to remember. Unlocking the phone, walking around with it or glancing at the widget all count as a sign that you’re fine.

  • Last sign Logged for you, four minutes ago.
  • Optional “I’m OK” is there if you want it.
2Quiet

Gone quiet? You’re asked first. Twice.

After your quiet period, 24 hours by default and anything from 12 to 48, Lamplight asks if you’re OK. No answer in an hour, it asks again, louder. One tap and nothing else happens.

  • Live Activity An hour to answer, on the Lock Screen.
  • Time-sensitive Comes through Focus modes.
3Alert

Only then do your people hear.

Your contacts see when you were last active and can call straight away. One taps “I’m handling it” so the others know someone’s on it. If it was a false alarm, everyone gets an all-clear.

Why “Sintios”

We catch the things that fall through the cracks.

In the Iliad, Hephaestus, the god of makers, is thrown from Olympus and falls all day until he lands on the island of Lemnos. The Sintians who lived there picked him up and looked after him.

That’s the job we gave ourselves: a receipt you’ll need in fourteen months, an evening nobody hears from you. Small things that slip, caught.
